Round Table Discussion

An outstanding highlight of the conference was the high-level Round Table Discussion „Vision 2030+: the motorcycle industry’s future within the EU mobility transformation“ lead organized by ACEM, the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers.

Last year, ACEM already presented its Vision 2030 +, its vision of the future of motorcycling in Europe, for 2030 and beyond, a series of strategic documents outlining the motorcycle industry’s vision for the future of motorcycling in Europe, at an online conference.

At the event, industry leaders and policymakers from the European Parliament and European Commission, the International Transport Forum and the World Health Organization discussed key issues such as the gradual decarbonization of two-wheelers through electric engines and e-fuels, improving environmental performance and ongoing efforts to further improve the safety of powered two-wheelers.

Ein Höhepunkt der Konferenz war die hochrangig besetzte Round Table Discussion „Vision 2030+: the motorcycle industry’s future within the EU mobility transformation“, die von ACEM, dem Europäischen Verband der Motorradhersteller, federführend organisiert wurde.

Bereits im vergangenen Jahr hat ACEM im Rahmen einer Online-Konferenz seine „Vision 2030+“ vorgestellt, eine Reihe strategischer Dokumente, in denen die Motorradindustrie ihre Vision für die Zukunft des Motorradfahrens in Europa für das Jahr 2030 und darüber hinaus präsentiert.

Auf der Veranstaltung diskutierten führende Vertreter der Branche und politische Entscheidungsträger des Europäischen Parlaments und der Europäischen Kommission, des International Transport Forum und der Weltgesundheitsorganisation über Schlüsselthemen wie die schrittweise Reduzierung des CO2-Ausstoßes von motorisierten Zweirädern durch Elektromotoren und E-Fuels, die Verbesserung der Umweltverträglichkeit und die laufenden Bemühungen zur weiteren Verbesserung der Sicherheit von motorisierten Zweirädern.
