8th International Motorcycle Conference 2010

The 8th International Motorcycle Conference will take place under the headline ‘Safety – Environment – Future’, covering all aspects related to motorized two wheelers. This gathering of scientists, researchers and practitioners will provide an opportunity for the Institut für Zweiradsicherheit (Institute for Motorcycle Safety) as organizer to discuss the complex aspects of active safety work for two wheelers.
The ifz-Conference will take place prior to the 7th International Motorcycle and Scooter exhibition INTERMOT Köln 2010 and will as usual be organized in co-operation with the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) from the USA. With contributions from specialists from all over the world regarding the situation of motorized two wheelers the status of current safety research and the comparison of legal conditions will be internationally considered.
Subjects covered will include accident analyses, riding and rider’s education, vehicle and driver’s equipment as well as the state of the art in technology and research. Environmental compatibility and perspectives for safe mobility on two wheels shall complement the broad based topic. Scientists, researchers, practitioners, politicians, employees of administrative bodies and authorities as well as representatives of the motorcycle industry are called upon to make contributions to the 8th International Motorcycle Conference and make it a trend-setting milestone.
The contributions of the conference will be presented as volume 14 of the publication series “Forschungshefte Zweiradsicherheit” (proceeding No. 14) of the ifz.
Conference languages: English and German with simultaneous translation.
